Use of the Website, including its content and the services it offers, is subject to these Terms of Use, which constitute a binding legal agreement between the Website user and the Museum. These Terms of Use may change from time to time at the Museum's sole discretion. The binding and determining text of the Terms of Use at all times is the one published on the Website.
The Terms of Use of the Website are cumulative and not alternative and will be interpreted as existing alongside each other.
Use of the Website indicates your agreement to these Terms as well as to additional terms displayed on the Website, including the Privacy Policy as well as additional instructions and rules that may be presented to you when you use the Website (collectively: the "Binding Documents"). Please note that the binding documents may change from time to time and that you are obligated to keep up to date with them. Therefore, you are asked to read the binding documents very carefully, as they define your rights and obligations regarding the use of the Website (including uploading stories on your behalf to the Museum's collection of stories).
The binding documents apply to the use of the Website via any computer or other communication device (such as smartphones, smartwatches, various tablet computers, etc.). The binding documents are worded in the male gender for convenience only, and are, of course, intended for all genders equally.

The Website may also contain advertisements, articles, information, services, products and/or any other content.
The Website may also include translations of its contents, or parts of them, into various languages. In any case of conflict between the content of the Website in Hebrew and its content in any other language, the Hebrew version is the binding version.
About the Museum and the Website in Brief
At the end of 2023, the renovated Tel Aviv-Jaffa Museum opened its doors as a state-of-the-art urban cultural center, whose purpose is to connect between urban heritage - public and private, urban innovation and new urban creation. The Museum is intended to act as a participatory public arena, and serve as a dynamic Museum space that will present changing exhibitions, based on the narrative of the city, the residents who live in it, and the stories that make it up.
The Museum's Website serves as an online gateway to the Museum and is designed to provide and deliver information and details about the Museum and its activities to city residents, Museum visitors, and the general public. Inter alia, the Website includes information and details about events held by the Museum (including date, location, cost - if any, details about accessibility, and more); information about the Museum's exhibitions (including temporary exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, and past exhibitions); educational and community activities at the Museum; magazine, articles, and academic and professional content; details about business, and more.
There is no charge for using the Website. To the extent that the Website allows the sale of products or services, this will be explicitly stated in the body of the Website, or the Website will direct you to an external page/Website where you can make such a purchase, subject to the terms of that external page/Website.
The Story Collection – Your Story is Part of the City – The Museum's Website also includes the city's story collection, in which the Museum invites the general public and Website visitors to upload their personal story about the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa to the Museum's story collection. The Museum's collection of stories are the actions, experiences, dreams, and events that happened to the city's residents, the people who love the city, its creators, the people who lived there in the past, who live there today, and who will live there in the future. The collection of stories includes many and various stories about the city and it is based on multiple sources (archives, the general public, artists, creators, dedicated production, the education system, cultural institutions, and more).
The Website serves, inter alia, as an online tool for collecting and presenting the stories of the city's residents. Inter alia, the Website presents tools and content that will guide you on how to structure and write your story, the important points to focus on, and the target audience for whom the story should be accessible.
The Museum has sole discretion to decide what content will be displayed on the Website, the length of time it will be displayed, what their location and design will be, and any other matter related to them.
The Museum provides Website users with tools for sharing and linking content from the Website via social networks and various online services, and we also direct Website users to the Museum's various social media channels, such as the pages operated by the Museum on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and more. Use of these online services is at your sole risk and is naturally subject to the legal agreements (such as Terms of Use and privacy policies) governing the operation of each of these platforms (which are not on behalf or controlled by the Museum).
The contents on the Website do not constitute professional opinion and/or legal advice and/or recommendation and should not be treated as such.
Furthermore, the Museum is not responsible for any mistake, disruption, error, omission, addition and/or any other flaw found in the content.
Using the Website
You may use the Website, its content and services, in accordance with the rules set forth hereafter. You may not use the Website, its contents and services in any other manner, unless you have received the Museum's express consent to do so in advance and in writing and subject to the terms of that consent (if any).
These instructions of use do not derogate from any other provision under any law.
The Museum will not be liable for any damage caused as a result of any link to content originating from the Website and any display or publication of content in any other way. The user bears full and exclusive responsibility for any linking, display or publication of the content made by him, and undertakes to indemnify the Museum for any damage caused as a result.
The Museum reserves the right to not allow the uploading of content and/or to remove information or content on the Website that violates the above, at its sole discretion, without giving the user prior notice.
Using the Website in violation of the Terms of Use or in deviation from them may lead to the user being denied access to the Website and may even expose him to civil and/or criminal liability under any law.
Registration
The Website is intended for the general public. Using the Website and viewing the content it displays does not require registration.
However, some of the Website's services and sections require registration, provision of information, or loading content, and are intended for users aged 18 and over only, or in accordance with legal provisions.
When using these sections and the Website services, you confirm and declare that you are 18 years of age or older at the time of use.
Uploading Stories to the Website
The Museum invites the general public and Website visitors to upload their personal story about the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa to the Museum's collection of stories, and may allow Website users to upload additional content to it in the future, in sections that allow this. This content will be published in designated areas - in the Museum, on the Website, or in any other publication on behalf of the Museum, including in any media, existing or future - either on their own or together with content on behalf of the Museum. Submitting or uploading stories for publication does not give you the right to demand that the content be published or continue to be published.
Uploading your story to the Museum's collection of stories will require you, with your consent, to complete a short registration process that includes providing personal and identifying details (full name, email address) and additional details as needed and the circumstances of the matter, and in particular details about the story you will upload to the Website (the emotion expressed by the story, where the story took place - including by marking it on the city map, when the story took place - date/period, as well as adding the free text of the story itself).
You can also upload a file related to the story, such as an audio, video, or audiovisual file. If there are any technical limitations regarding the types of files that can be uploaded to the Website and the maximum file size, they will be detailed on the Website itself.
You will be able to complete the registration and upload your story only after providing the requested details and after your consent has been received to store them as well as for the binding documents on the Website.
It is your responsibility to provide only true, accurate, and complete details, both about yourself and other parties in relation to the story you submit. Incorrect details may prevent you from using the full features of the Website, prevent your story from being presented, and, if necessary, prevent us from contacting you. The Museum reserves the right to verify the information you provided by any means at its disposal, including through third-party services.
The information you provide will be stored by the Museum. The Museum will use your information in accordance with the Website's Privacy Policy, which constitutes an integral part of the binding documents and these terms.
The Museum may contact you and send you updates via the contact methods you provided in accordance with the circumstances such as the story being received by the Website's systems, editing the story if necessary, and publishing it on the Museum's Website.
The Museum encourages freedom of expression and the existence of a fruitful and productive discussion, with the active participation of you and other users. However, in order to enable the existence of cultural and substantive discourse and to prevent abuse of the options open to you to publish content and stories, the Museum may review the content prior to its publication, but it is not required to do so. Such reviews may be conducted by the Museum on a sample basis, solely to try to prevent the publication of content that is illegal, seemingly offensive, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Museum, and without the need to exercise legal discretion.
The Museum may refuse to publish, or immediately delete, any content you submit for publication, at its discretion, including at any time it finds that you have violated the terms of the binding documents, or that you have committed an act or omission that harms or may harm the services provided on the Website, its users, the Museum or anyone on its behalf.
A Museum may not allow you to use the sections of the Website that require registration, at its sole discretion. Without derogating from the foregoing, the Museum may block your access to these sections, or cancel your registration, in any of the following cases –
When you upload and publish content as set forth above, you are fully and solely responsible for any consequences that may arise from the publication. You must ensure that such content is legal. Among other things and for example only, you are prohibited from publishing and uploading the following content to the Website –

The content you submit for publication may be exposed to all Internet users and visitors to the Museum and the Website. Be wise and cautious when providing personal information (such as an address or phone number) as well as in any responses and inquiries you receive, if any, following the publication of the content.
The Museum encourages you to treat content published on the Internet with caution and critically, including content published by other users. Content submitted by users is not published on behalf of the Museum and therefore it is not responsible for its reliability, trustworthiness, accuracy or completeness and is not responsible for any consequences resulting from its use or reliance on it.

This is the place to add your story
Stories are always told in first person (I). We suggest opening your story with an intriguing sentence or statement. It is best to provide specific details, such as the name of a character or place. The first lines should mention the subject, the central event.
The opening of the story is an opportunity to convey something of the time and place in which it occurs, to invite readers into your experience. We strongly recommend that you read stories already in the collection.
Begin by describing the event at the story's center and its meaning for you and others. We recommend referring to the sights, sounds and scents associated with the story. To go deeper, writers should describe their thoughts and feelings. Cultural or historical references can be added if relevant. The length of a short story should run between 100 to 500 words. Stories should be as short as possible and have an intriguing title. Stories can also be submitted in audio or video files or supplemented with pictures. Some stories are poems.
The story collection is updated daily with stories that, taken together, give an elaborate mosaic of Tel Aviv-Yafo. To maintain this variety, we pay attention to the balance and rhythm created by the stories. All stories must be concise and devoid of offensive content and uncouth language. Once submitted, the story is read, and we contact its author.
Answer a short questionnaire and upload the story and files.
The story is read by the museum staff.
Accepted stories are presented in the museum and published on its website.
