As the exhibition At City Level draws to a close, the Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum invites the public to bid farewell to a show that, for about a year and a half, has hosted a wide range of voices, perspectives, and stories.
The museum will be open to the public free of charge – the last chance to visit the exhibition with its participating artists present.
Over the course of the evening, there will be a roda (samba circle): an evening of music, singing, and dancing led by Oded Aloni and members of Escola Semente do Samba, a samba school based in south Tel Aviv. Samba has a long tradition of social and political expression, and its songs speak to everyday life, love, loss, identity, and injustice.
When and where?
24 September
19:30-20:30 – The participating artists and curator Yael Messer will be present to answer questions and talk with visitors.
20:00-22:30 – Samba performance and free roaming of the museum.
