Urban Journal - Documenting and Artistic Creation

Are you a fan of cities? Do you love writing and creating, or are you just searching for a new way to express yourself? If so, then this course is perfect for you! Throughout the course, we will explore the captivating realm of urban documentation, using digital tools to craft a personal journal that tells the city’s story from your perspective.

What are you in for?
Get acquainted with unique artworks: explore works of local and international artists that reveal the connection between images and texts.

Creative documentation: During the 12 meetings, participants will develop their artistic projects under the guidance of a leading professional artist.

Observe the city: Participants will wander around the museum and its surroundings, explore the city and document urban moments to create personal journals that tell their stories.

A varied, practical program: Participants will acquire tools and techniques to improve their writing, photography and documentation. They will also learn to organize urban chaos and hone into extraordinary experiences.

 

The course is open to everyone – experienced and inexperienced – and will help improve participants’ observation and expression skills.

During the course, created projects could join the museum collection, subject to the participants’ agreement and museum needs.

 

Days and hours: Wednesdays, 18:00-20:00

Dates: first session - 6.11.24, last session - 22.1.25

Equipment – a laptop and working mobile phone camera

Participants must do homework between sessions

Additional materials include a subscription to Midjourney ($10 per month; can be canceled after the workshop) and Canva and Firefly software (free registration)
