What happens when the City Museum transforms for one night into a vibrant space that mixes youth from across the city with music, creativity, and art in the public sphere?
Come mix and mingle music, creativity, and street art.
We’ll kick off the evening by hanging out and mingling throughout the museum space, meeting teens from all over the city. From there, we’ll move on to “The Mixer” — the museum’s new interactive space — where we’ll create together as part of a particularly humorous and engaging session led by street artist Oren Eilam. Oren will “mix us up,” but through completely real stories — about graffiti, poetry, and playful art in the public space. From there, participants can continue mixing and choose one of two mixing workshops:
1. Grunge Collage Workshop – with Lior Raz
A hands-on creative workshop full of cutting, pasting, coloring, and free imagination. Each participant will leave with a personal artwork to take home.
No prior experience needed — just curiosity and a desire to create.
2. Mixing, Remixing, and Sampling Workshop – with DJ Shay Samna
A workshop that dives into the heart of the musical creation process. Participants will choose favorite tracks and learn how to “mix” them into something new.
MIX IT UP is a festive launch event for “The Mixer” — the City Museum’s innovative new space dedicated to art in the public sphere.
The event is initiated and produced by the youth of Kikar Youth Group.
Please note: Workshops are not chosen in advance at the time of ticket purchase.
