This introductory workshop explores the world of comics and its visual language, led by Ilana Zeffren, a comics artist and illustrator (creator of the beloved cat column "Petting Corner" in “Haaretz”). Topics will include character and background design, types of text in comics, the relationship between image and text, page composition, perspective, color, and more. Timed to coincide with Passover and inspired by the work Women Citizens of the City on display at the museum, the workshop will focus on themes of freedom and animals. Participants are welcome to attend all three days (recommended!) or just one or two. Day one focuses on illustration, day two on text, and day three on the connection between them.
