Another Time | Wednesday at the Museum: Domestic Tourism

Ilanit Shamia has been traversing the streets of Tel Aviv-Yafo as a tourist for over three decades. Despite it being her home town, the city never ceases to intrigue her and has inspired as she continues to document it. 

It is precisely out of this curiosity that the tour Internal Tourism was born, a walking workshop that explores the city, its daily life, and its complexities. During the workshop, we’ll embark on an early evening tour that will dive deep into myriad aspects of the city such as fashion, flora, identity, and even and even dog breeds.

We’ll observe, photograph, and capture impressions and images of the city’s urbanity.

Ilanit Shamia is a multidisciplinary artist and blogger, a graduate of Bezalel's department of Photography, and an avid wanderer.
