Have you recorded stories of residents? Did you start a project about collecting local stories? Keep us updated!
The new Tel Aviv-Jaffa City Museum seeks to give a platform to the stories of the residents and residency and preserve them in the museum's collection.
In January 2024, the Tel Aviv-Jaffa City Museum opened for public in Bialik Square, and it will serve as an urban cultural center connecting public and private heritage, urban innovation and artistic expression. The museum will present local and personal stories of the residents of the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa whose goal is to tell the story of the city through stories and personal experiences.
The collection of the city's stories is presented in the new museum in an interactive exhibition, which will allow wandering and listening to the various voices and diverse narratives that make up our city.
Depositing stories collected in various projects that have been conducted over the years will allow us to present the wonderful work that takes place in the city through the wings, departments and community and cultural centers, and to create another network of connections between the various communities living and working here, and between the urban and cultural centers that surround them.
